NASA mission to study Deep intertior of Mars.
Day 1:- April 1st is the 91st day of the year.
NASA is soon going to launch the mission to study Mars deep interior. It is going to first ever mission by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to study the deep interiors of the Mars which is also known as the Red Planet.
The main aim of this mission is to find how the planet is formed. It is scheduled to launch on 5th May . This exploration is going to be done by using Seismic Investigation, Geodesy and heat transport (Insight) -a stationary lander. It is going to be the NASA's first mission since the Apollo moon landing to place a seismometer ( a device which measures quakes on soil)
Banerdt said, Insight is like a scientific Time machine which will bring the information about the earliest stages of Mars formation of 4.5 billion years ago.
It will help the scientists to study about the Mars formation.
